I thought maybe some good-hearted Twins fan might be interested in helping out.
As long as we're talking about Mauer....
The Joe Mauer thinkexist.com quotes page is mildly amusing to me. My favorites include, but are not limited to:
- “He tried talking to me, but I knew the guy had the ball. So I pretty much knew.”
- “I was trying to hit the ball hard somewhere, but both times right at people.”
- “Well, what do you want me to do about it?”
- “She was with her mom, and they were joking around.”

adorable!
A friend of mine have sled dogs and her daughter named one Mauer (after her favorite baseball player)... and she recently posted about how her Mauer just lost "his balls."
tee hee hee!

It would be very tempting to have a whole sled dog team named for various baseball players....
Hmm...
That's a very dangerous idea.
Hee... I remember what the "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" quote was all about. Good times.
haha or, instead of sled dogs ..."Now, Mauer! Now, Slowey! Now, Punto, and Nathan!"
"On, Hardy! On, Cuddy! On, Baker and Hudson!"
Yeah...things like this make me wonder if I have too much time on my hands...
Oh and what's the “She was with her mom, and they were joking around" quote all about?
I can't imagine a situation where joe would actually admits he talks to girls lol.
Jammer, you've definitely come to the right blog.
Haha! This absolutely made my day! Now I'm curious, what is the "what do you want me to do about it" quote all about?
Jammer-hilarious!
Sarah-you. are. genius. that is all.
:-D
For those of you who are wondering...I have no idea what the quote about the girl and her mom is about. Sorry :(
But the "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" quote was a classic from the embarrassing Scott Baker um...traveling...cup situation. One of the greatest moments in Minnesota Twins history.
I almost adopted a cat just so I could name it "joe meower" but then I remembered I'm not a cat person.
Heidi--Don't let the dream die! You should make a toy cat at Build-a-Bear, slap a Twins uniform on him and name him Joe Meower.
