Last straw

Today was the last straw.

The Twins and I are fighting now.

The team's stupendous blunders/melt downs have been pretty well documented already, so I don't feel the need to rehash any of it. Let's just say that I hope they spend their off-day thinking about what they've done, and what adorable/amazing things they can do to try to make it up to me, and earn my love again.

Gardy says they're going to have a little team meeting/chit chat in Cleveland on Friday. I do not suggest anyone even think about another team-building head shaving fiasco.

Don't get mad at the Twins until it's proven that there isn't some evil person in New York (or maybe it's really Chicago) who is using some Voodoo or other curse aginst the Twins. Yankee Stadium is one of the most terrible (though amazing) places in the world for any baseball team. It harnesses all the negative energy of their fans and directs it at the opposing team.

Can't you just picture Liriano sitting in front of a collection of voodoo dolls representing the Twins starting line-up with an evil little smirk and a handful of pins?
I love Liriano and can't wait to see what he can do once he gets back to the majors, but you have to admit, the timing is a bit suspicious. Just how badly does he want to get back to the majors? ...

I think the Twins should remember Eleanor Roosevelt's quote that "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

But I'm more than willing to blame Liriano for the current predicament. I'm still feeling cranky towards him.

So I went and did some digging. It appears that the last big losing streak the Twins had (aside from the Boston series. As I pointed out, the Umps were bought off) was a streak that started June 5th. This was also Francisco's first stint with the Rochester Red Wings!
And all of a sudden, just as Liriano wants back in with the Twins, they lose big again? I think he threw some sort of a fit when he went down, made the Twins lose 6 in a row and now we've lost 4 after he's throwing another fit. Coincidence?
